Palladian Windows
To achieve a successful design with a Palladian Window care must be taken to relate the window both in proportion and design to the interior and exterior of the building. On the middle left is a fine example of a Venetian Window with interior panels, operable shutters, window seat and wood Corinthian columns. Above, at the staircase in Gore Hall, a recent project at The University of Delaware, design had to work with traffic. The landing was positioned to take advantage of the pleasant light pattern and not interfere with the exterior proportions.
